I am in the beginning phase of getting certified as a biblical counselor. I am pursuing this through Biblical Counseling Foundation (BCF) lead through my local church. I am currently working through Level 1 which is Self-Confrontation. This course is centered on confronting your own sin and short comings before you attempt to help others. As I post on different topics most likely it is a result of my studies in this course.
Here is a general overview of the 4 levels I hope to complete:
Level 1 – Self-Confrontation
- 24 weeks
- 2 Weekend Seminars
Level 2 – Biblical Discipleship/Counseling
- 13 Weeks
- Counseling procedures and role-playing
Level 3 – Biblical Discipleship/Counseling
- 14 Weeks
Level 4 – Advance Course
- 1 week intensive course
- This Course aids with more complicated issues
- Occurs with a year of teaching BCF classes and counseling

Everyone needs help and as a Christian you should have a self sacrificing eagerness to help them. Remember that you cannot help others if you are not right with God. Take the first step and confront yourself as scriptures states in Matthew 7:5:
Remove the plank from your own eye, then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brothers eye.
I am super excited about this adventure but I have a long way to go and a lot of changing to do! Pray for me.
With Great Love and Truth,
